Pindrow fir (Abies pindrow)

Abies pindrow, commonly known as the West Himalayan fir, is a coniferous tree native to the western Himalayas. It grows at high altitudes (2,400–3,700 meters) and can reach up to 60 meters in height. The needles are flat, glossy green, and arranged spirally. It produces cylindrical cones that disintegrate when mature. Valued for timber and resin, it is also used in traditional medicine. Prefers cool, moist climates and well-drained soils.
