Aconitum x cammarum, commonly known as garden monkshood or hybrid monkshood, is a perennial plant from the Ranunculaceae family. It is a hybrid between Aconitum napellus and Aconitum variegatum. Known for its striking blue or purple helmet-shaped flowers, it blooms in mid to late summer. All parts of the plant are highly toxic if ingested, containing aconitine. Prefers moist, well-drained soil and partial shade. Hardy in USDA zones 3-7. Attracts pollinators but should be handled with care due to its toxicity.
