Quercus rubra, commonly known as the northern red oak, is a deciduous tree native to North America. It grows up to 90 feet tall with a broad, rounded crown. The leaves are lobed with pointed tips, turning red in autumn. It produces acorns and thrives in well-drained soils. Valued for its hardwood and ornamental use.
