Rubus odoratus, commonly known as purple-flowering raspberry, is a deciduous shrub native to eastern North America. It features large, fragrant purple-pink flowers and maple-like leaves. Unlike typical raspberries, its fruit is dry and less tasty. It thrives in partial shade and moist, well-drained soil, often used in ornamental gardens for its showy blooms and foliage. Hardy in USDA zones 3-8.
