Pennisetum alopecuroides, commonly known as fountain grass, is a perennial ornamental grass native to Asia and Australia. It features arching green foliage and fluffy, bottlebrush-like flower spikes in late summer to fall. Drought-tolerant and low-maintenance, it thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Popular in landscaping for its texture and movement. Grows 2-4 feet tall. Hardy in USDA zones 5-9.
