Downy service berry (Amelanchier arborea)

Amelanchier arborea, commonly known as downy serviceberry or Juneberry, is a deciduous shrub or small tree native to eastern North America. It produces white flowers in spring, followed by edible purple-black berries in summer. The leaves are oval with fine hairs, turning red or orange in fall. It thrives in well-drained soils and full sun to partial shade, attracting birds and pollinators. Often used in landscaping for its ornamental value.
