Vaccinium corymbosum, commonly known as the highbush blueberry, is a deciduous shrub native to eastern North America. It produces clusters of white or pink bell-shaped flowers in spring, followed by edible blue berries rich in antioxidants. It thrives in acidic, well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade. Popular in home gardens and commercial cultivation for its fruit. Grows 6-12 feet tall. Hardy in USDA zones 3-7.
