Veronicastrum virginicum, commonly known as Culver's root, is a tall perennial native to North America. It features slender spikes of small white or pale lavender flowers in summer, attracting pollinators. Prefers full sun to partial shade and moist, well-drained soil. Grows 3-6 feet tall, with whorled leaves. Used in traditional medicine and as an ornamental plant. Hardy in USDA zones 3-8.
