Calla palustris, commonly known as bog arum or marsh calla, is a perennial aquatic plant native to cool temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere. It thrives in wetlands, bogs, and shallow waters. It features glossy, heart-shaped leaves and produces a distinctive white spathe surrounding a yellow spadix. The plant is toxic if ingested due to calcium oxalate crystals. It blooms in late spring to early summer and spreads via rhizomes.
