Hippophae rhamnoides, commonly known as sea buckthorn, is a hardy deciduous shrub native to Europe and Asia. It thrives in coastal and mountainous regions, tolerating poor soils. The plant has silvery-green leaves, thorny branches, and bright orange berries rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and oils. Its berries and leaves are used in food, cosmetics, and traditional medicine. Sea buckthorn is also valued for soil stabilization and wildlife habitat.
