Forsythia x intermedia, commonly known as border forsythia, is a hybrid flowering shrub. It is a cross between F. suspensa and F. viridissima. Known for its bright yellow flowers in early spring, it grows 8-10 feet tall and wide. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained soil. This deciduous shrub is low-maintenance and often used for hedges or ornamental purposes. It is hardy in USDA zones 5-8.
