Anthriscus sylvestris, commonly known as cow parsley or wild chervil, is a biennial or short-lived perennial plant native to Europe, Asia, and North Africa. It grows in hedgerows, meadows, and woodland edges, reaching up to 1.5 meters tall. It has fern-like leaves and clusters of small white flowers in umbrella-shaped inflorescences. It resembles poison hemlock but is non-toxic. It spreads easily and can become invasive in some regions.
