Nandina domestica, commonly known as heavenly bamboo or sacred bamboo, is an evergreen shrub native to eastern Asia. Despite its name, it is not a true bamboo. It features upright stems, delicate foliage that turns red in fall, and clusters of white flowers followed by bright red berries. It is drought-tolerant and often used in landscaping, but its berries are toxic to pets and wildlife.
