Thuja orientalis, also known as Platycladus orientalis or Oriental arborvitae, is an evergreen coniferous tree native to East Asia. It has scale-like leaves, grows up to 15-20 meters tall, and is often used for hedges or ornamental purposes. It thrives in well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade. The plant is drought-tolerant and resistant to pests. Its dense foliage and conical shape make it popular in landscaping.
