Physostegia virginiana, commonly known as obedient plant or false dragonhead, is a perennial native to North America. It features spikes of tubular pink, white, or lavender flowers from summer to fall. The plant grows 2-4 feet tall, prefers full sun to partial shade, and thrives in moist, well-drained soil. Its name comes from the flowers' tendency to stay in place when bent. It attracts pollinators like bees and butterflies.
