Chamaecyparis lawsoniana, commonly known as Lawson cypress or Port Orford cedar, is a coniferous evergreen tree native to Oregon and California. It grows up to 60 meters tall with a pyramidal shape and aromatic, scale-like foliage. It is valued for its durable wood and ornamental use in gardens. Prefers moist, well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade. Susceptible to root rot and cypress canker.
