Stachys byzantina, commonly known as lamb's ear, is a perennial plant native to Turkey, Armenia, and Iran. It is known for its soft, fuzzy, silver-gray leaves that resemble a lamb's ear. The plant produces small purple or pink flowers in summer. It thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, making it drought-tolerant. Often used as ground cover or in borders, it is deer-resistant and attracts pollinators. Requires minimal maintenance but may need pruning to control spread.
