Italian maple (Acer opalus)

Acer opalus, commonly known as Italian maple, is a deciduous tree native to southern Europe and parts of Asia. It grows up to 20 meters tall with a rounded crown. Leaves are palmately lobed, turning yellow in autumn. It produces small yellow-green flowers in spring and winged samaras. Prefers well-drained soils and tolerates drought. Often used in landscaping for its ornamental value.
