Asplenium scolopendrium, commonly known as hart's-tongue fern, is a perennial evergreen fern native to Europe, Asia, and North America. It features bright green, strap-shaped fronds with smooth, undivided edges, growing in a rosette form. Thrives in shady, moist environments, often found in woodlands or rocky areas. Prefers alkaline soils and is valued for its ornamental appeal in gardens. Hardy and low-maintenance, it is also used in traditional medicine.
