Tagetes patula, commonly known as French marigold, is a compact annual flowering plant native to Mexico and Guatemala. It features bright yellow, orange, or red blooms with a distinctive scent. It grows 15–30 cm tall and thrives in full sun with well-drained soil. Often used in gardens for pest control, it repels nematodes and attracts pollinators. Blooms from summer to frost. Easy to grow and drought-tolerant.
