Prunus armeniaca, commonly known as the apricot tree, is a deciduous fruit-bearing tree native to Central Asia. It produces sweet, orange-yellow fruits rich in vitamins A and C. The tree blooms with pink or white flowers in early spring and thrives in temperate climates. Apricots are eaten fresh, dried, or used in cooking and preserves. The tree grows up to 8–12 meters tall and prefers well-drained soil and full sun.
