Monarda didyma, commonly known as bee balm or Oswego tea, is a perennial herb native to eastern North America. It features bright red tubular flowers that attract pollinators like bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. The plant grows 2-4 feet tall, prefers full sun to partial shade, and thrives in moist, well-drained soil. Its aromatic leaves are used in teas and have medicinal properties. Bee balm is also resistant to deer and rabbits.
