Verbena bonariensis, also known as tall verbena or purpletop vervain, is a perennial plant native to South America. It features tall, slender stems topped with clusters of small, purple flowers that attract butterflies and pollinators. Drought-tolerant and low-maintenance, it thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Often used in borders or wildflower gardens, it can reach heights of 3-6 feet (1-2 meters). Self-seeding and hardy in USDA zones 7-11, it adds vertical interest to landscapes.
