Fritillaria imperialis, commonly known as Crown Imperial, is a striking perennial plant native to mountainous regions from Turkey to the Himalayas. It features tall stems topped with a crown of bell-shaped, orange, yellow, or red flowers and a tuft of leafy bracts. The plant emits a musky odor to deter pests. It thrives in well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade, blooming in spring. Toxic if ingested, it's often grown for ornamental purposes in gardens.
