Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, commonly known as Chinese hibiscus or tropical hibiscus, is a flowering plant native to East Asia. It features large, colorful, trumpet-shaped blooms in shades of red, pink, orange, yellow, or white. The glossy, dark green leaves are ovate with serrated edges. This evergreen shrub thrives in warm climates and prefers full sun to partial shade. It is widely cultivated as an ornamental plant and is the national flower of Malaysia. The flowers are edible and sometimes used in teas or traditional medicine. Requires well-drained soil and regular watering.
