Actaea pachypoda, commonly known as white baneberry or doll's eyes, is a perennial plant native to eastern North America. It features white berries with a distinctive black dot, resembling doll's eyes, and grows in shady woodland areas. All parts of the plant are toxic if ingested, particularly the berries. It blooms in late spring with small white flowers and prefers moist, well-drained soil. The plant is often used in shade gardens for its ornamental berries and foliage.
