Stokesia laevis, commonly known as Stokes' aster, is a perennial flowering plant native to the southeastern United States. It produces large, daisy-like flowers in shades of blue, purple, pink, or white, blooming from summer to fall. The plant thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained, slightly acidic soil. It is drought-tolerant once established and attracts pollinators like butterflies. Stokes' aster grows up to 1-2 feet tall and is often used in borders, rock gardens, or as a cut flower. It is hardy in USDA zones 5-9.
