Sikkim allium (Allium sikkimense syn. Allium tibeticum)

Allium sikkimense is a perennial bulbous plant native to the Himalayas, particularly Sikkim and Bhutan. It features narrow, grass-like leaves and produces small, star-shaped purple flowers in dense umbels. Thriving in alpine meadows and rocky slopes, it prefers well-drained soil and full sun. This ornamental onion is valued for its delicate blooms and is sometimes used in rock gardens. It blooms in late spring to early summer.
