Iris sibirica, commonly known as Siberian iris, is a hardy perennial native to Europe and Central Asia. It features slender, grass-like foliage and elegant blue-violet flowers with yellow markings, blooming in late spring to early summer. This low-maintenance plant thrives in moist, well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade. It is ideal for borders, water gardens, and naturalized areas, attracting pollinators while being deer-resistant. Siberian iris spreads slowly via rhizomes and is known for its resilience in cold climates.
