Primula obconica, commonly known as the Poison Primrose or German Primrose, is a flowering plant native to China. It features clusters of fragrant, funnel-shaped flowers in shades of pink, purple, white, or blue. The leaves are rounded and form a basal rosette. It thrives in cool, moist conditions and is often grown as a houseplant. Caution is advised as its foliage can cause skin irritation due to the presence of primin, a contact allergen.
