Allium stipitatum, commonly known as Persian shallot, is a bulbous perennial plant native to Central Asia. It produces tall stems with spherical umbels of star-shaped, pale purple flowers. The bulbs are edible and used in traditional medicine. It thrives in well-drained soil and full sun, blooming in late spring to early summer. The plant is also valued for its ornamental appeal in gardens.
