Ceratopetalum gummifera, commonly known as the New South Wales Christmas Bush, is a small to medium-sized tree native to eastern Australia. It is known for its striking red sepals that appear around Christmas time, resembling flowers. The plant thrives in well-drained soils and prefers sunny to partly shaded locations. It is often used in landscaping and as a cut flower due to its vibrant seasonal display. The tree can grow up to 10 meters tall and has small white flowers before the sepals turn red.
