Carex morrowii, commonly known as Japanese sedge or Morrow's sedge, is a perennial evergreen grass-like plant native to Japan. It features narrow, arching green or variegated leaves and grows in clumps up to 30 cm tall. Thriving in partial shade and moist, well-drained soil, it is often used in gardens for ground cover or borders. It produces small, inconspicuous brown flowers in spring. Low-maintenance and deer-resistant, it is popular in landscaping for its texture and year-round interest.
