Origanum majorana, commonly known as sweet marjoram, is a perennial herb in the mint family. It has aromatic, oval leaves and small white or pink flowers. Native to the Mediterranean region, it is widely used in cooking for its mild, sweet flavor, often in soups, sauces, and meat dishes. It also has medicinal uses, such as aiding digestion and reducing stress. Prefers full sun and well-drained soil.
