Kobushi magnolia (Magnolia kobus)

Magnolia kobus, commonly known as Kobus magnolia or northern Japanese magnolia, is a deciduous tree native to Japan and Korea. It grows up to 10-15 meters tall, producing fragrant white or pale pink flowers in early spring before the leaves emerge. The flowers are cup-shaped with 6-9 petals. It prefers well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade. This hardy species is valued for its ornamental beauty and early blooming.
