Pieris japonica, also known as Japanese andromeda or lily-of-the-valley shrub, is an evergreen shrub native to eastern Asia. It features glossy green leaves, clusters of white or pink bell-shaped flowers in spring, and new growth that is often red or bronze. It prefers acidic, well-drained soil and partial shade. Toxic if ingested.
