Harlequin glory bower (Clerodendrum trichotomum syn. Clerodendron trichotomum)

Clerodendrum trichotomum, also known as Harlequin Glorybower, is a deciduous shrub native to China and Japan. It grows up to 10-20 feet tall and produces fragrant white flowers in late summer, followed by bright blue berries surrounded by red calyces. The leaves emit an unpleasant odor when crushed. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained soil. Hardy in USDA zones 7-10.
