Acer diabolicum, commonly known as the Devil's Maple or Horned Maple, is a deciduous tree native to Japan. It grows up to 10-15 meters tall with distinctive corky bark and leaves that turn vibrant red in autumn. The name "diabolicum" refers to its unusual horn-like paired samaras (winged seeds). It prefers well-drained soil and partial shade. Rare in cultivation, it's valued for ornamental use.
