Miscanthus sinensis, commonly known as Chinese silver grass or maiden grass, is a perennial ornamental grass native to East Asia. It features tall, arching foliage with feathery flower plumes in late summer to fall. Popular in landscaping for its drought tolerance and low maintenance, it thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Varieties range in height and color, with some displaying striking red or silver hues. Can be invasive in some regions.
