Astilbe chinensis, commonly called Chinese astilbe, is a perennial plant native to China and Korea. It features feathery, plume-like flower clusters in shades of pink, purple, or white, blooming in summer. Prefers partial shade and moist, well-drained soil. Grows 1-3 feet tall, with fern-like foliage. Attracts pollinators and is deer-resistant. Ideal for borders, woodland gardens, or damp areas. Hardy in USDA zones 4-8.
