Ajuga reptans, commonly known as bugleweed or carpet bugle, is a low-growing perennial plant native to Europe. It features dark green or purple leaves and produces spikes of blue, purple, or white flowers in spring. It spreads via runners, forming dense ground cover, and thrives in partial shade to full sun. Often used in gardens for its foliage and flowers, it prefers moist, well-drained soil. It can be invasive in some areas.
