Geranium macrorrhizum, commonly known as bigroot geranium or Bulgarian geranium, is a hardy perennial plant native to Southern Europe. It features aromatic, deeply lobed leaves and clusters of pink to magenta flowers in late spring to early summer. This drought-tolerant plant thrives in partial shade to full sun and spreads via rhizomes, making it an excellent ground cover. It is valued for its low maintenance, deer resistance, and ability to suppress weeds.
