Portulaca umbraticola, commonly known as wingpod purslane, is a succulent annual plant native to the Americas. It features fleshy leaves and vibrant, colorful flowers that bloom in shades of yellow, orange, pink, or red. Thriving in hot, dry conditions, it is drought-tolerant and ideal for rock gardens or containers. The flowers open in sunlight and close at night or on cloudy days. It spreads easily and can self-seed, making it low-maintenance.
