Swamp cypress (Taxodium distichum 'Cascade Falls')

Taxodium distichum, commonly known as bald cypress, is a deciduous conifer native to the southeastern United States. It thrives in wet, swampy areas but adapts to drier soils. Known for its distinctive "knees" (pneumatophores) and feathery foliage that turns reddish-brown in fall. Grows up to 120 feet tall and is valued for rot-resistant wood.
