Dianthus arenarius, commonly known as sand pink, is a perennial flowering plant in the carnation family (Caryophyllaceae). It is native to Europe and thrives in sandy, well-drained soils. The plant produces fragrant, white or pale pink flowers with fringed petals, blooming from late spring to summer. It prefers full sun and is drought-tolerant, making it suitable for rock gardens and dry landscapes. The foliage is narrow and gray-green, forming low clumps. It attracts pollinators like butterflies and bees.
