Forsythia ovata, also known as Korean forsythia, is a deciduous shrub native to Korea. It blooms early in spring with bright yellow flowers before the leaves appear. The plant prefers full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. It is drought-tolerant and attracts pollinators. Ideal for borders or hedges, it grows up to 6 feet tall and wide. Hardy in USDA zones 4-8.
