Cotinus coggygria, commonly known as smoke bush or smoke tree, is a deciduous shrub or small tree. It is known for its unique, fluffy, smoke-like flower clusters and vibrant foliage that turns red, orange, or purple in autumn. Native to southern Europe and central China, it thrives in well-drained soil and full sun. Popular in ornamental gardening for its striking appearance and low maintenance.
